I disagree. One of them is not possible due to the presence of the comma after "sports". Can you work out which one?

I think you mean "like" because it's a preposition.
 
Some people won't like C much.
 
I readily admit that I had to check another usage guide before deciding whether C was a possibility.

That seems to me an odd thing to say. I thought we were the usage guides!

I've noticed over several years that you and I agree, as do several other members whom I can name, that sentence C is not well-formed as it stands with the comma after sports.
