[Vocabulary] "look over" or "look out onto"

The hotel room ____________ the beach.
I filled the blank with "looks over" , but my teacher said that "looks out onto" is correct.
I've never caught the phrase "look out onto" and I can't find it in my dictionary too!
Which phrase is correct?

Either one is acceptable.

As is "looks out over".
