Is it a correct expression "many and more"? For instance "many and more will die if we don't find a cure soon". Are there other possible ways of expressing the same thing?

'Many and more' sounds strange to me. 'Many', 'very many' and, if appropriate, 'many more' are natural.
 
Thanks, I must have misremembered the sentence.
