It means that they didn't find any of the things that the mother is asking about, but they were kidnapped by female bovine animals.

Isn't it a small world? The last time i was kidnapped by a female bovine animal, I discovered, by some chance or anudder, that her name was Betcha Goddit.

Her daughter was called Dame Vera. I remember, with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, the sad mooed of our parting, as we softly sang, "Veal meat again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know veal meat again ..."

I got over it eventually. It was only calf love. But there will be a place in my heart for her, for heifer.
