Are the following sentences correct and natural?

Mr. Peter bought me a school bag. To be honest, I don’t love it. I appreciated this behaviour and say ‘thank you”.

Mr. Peter bought me a school bag. To be honest, I don’t love it no full stop here but I appreciated this behaviour the gesture and say said Thank you”.
Note my changes above. I've underlined the first two words because using "Mr" followed by someone's first name isn't correct in the majority of variants of English. If you use "Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms", follow it with the person's surname (family name). If you want to use their first name, use it on its own. Are you sure their name isn't "Mr Peters"? That's a common surname.
