negative reason

Hello there,

I have a question if there is such a thing as "negative reason."

Let's assume that I have regularly uploaded videos to Youtube for sometime not knowing that these videos have copyright protected.

Now that Youtube sent me a warning and said that I am no longer allowed to upload any more videos of this kind to Youtube.

If I were to say, dued to "negative reason", I will not be able to upload videos anymore.

Does it make sense?

Negative reason in this situation refers to the "unwelcome" warning that I received from Youtube.

No, "negative reason" is not an expression.

I'm not sure why you think a site protecting itself from lawsuits over copyrights is "negative" either.

Although the expression 'negative reason' is used occasionally, it is rarely used except in contrast to 'good' or 'positive reasons:

There are many good reasons for taking this job: it pays well, it offers security, etc. There are also a couple of negative reasons: if I don't take it, I'll go bankrupt, ...

Personally, I think any reason for doing or no doing something is a reason; I never use 'negative reason'.

As Rover said, 'negative reason(s)' makes little sense in, "Due to "negative reasons", I will not be able to upload videos any more."

Having read the initial post a few times I think I see what the OP wants to know.

You want to update your profile to indicate that you won't be uploading any more videos in the near future and are looking for a way to express this.

How about "Due to unintentional copyright violations, I will not be able to upload videos any more"?
