Success in some of the new events _____ well for the future. “I think the new sport’s slope style, free style, snowboard style were fantastic. Aged profile, the teams are good. It wouldn’t surprise me that they could surpass us in Pyeongchang in four years’ time.”

The underlined or blank parts are where I am not sure or cannot hear out.

Can any native help me?

thanks!

Jason

I am not a teacher.

I hear this.

Success in some of the new events bodes well for the future. “I think the new sports, the slope styles, the free style and snowboard slope styles have been fantastic. The age profile of the team is good and it wouldn’t surprise me if they could surpass this in Pyeongchang in four years’ time.”

"Bodes well" means that their present success is a good sign for the future.
"Age profile" probably means that it is a young team who will still be active during the next Winter Olympics.

It sounds like 'boat' to me.
I've learned a new expression. Thank you very much.:-D

"Bode comes from the same root as "forebode".

I first thought it was the past form of "forbid", which made me confused.
I've learned a new word. Thank you.:-D
