Hi,
"It's no thanks to you that I arrive on time"
What does this sentence mean? Can you change the 'no thanks to you' in that sentence without changing its original meaning?
Many thanks,

Many thanks,

It means that the person arrived on time with absolutely no help from the other person. In fact, it could even mean that the other person's actions might even have resulted in the person arriving late, but despite those actions, the person still managed to arrive on time.

You could change it to "I arrived on time with no help from you" - the meaning is roughly the same, but it doesn't quite convey the same sentiment.
