Nobody remembers me, do they?

Do I use this tag ending (don't they) even if I address the question to all the people in a room? In this scenario, can't I ask Nobody remembers me, do you?

Use do, not don't.

Use do, not don't.

Sure, that's not the question, I just don't know how to correct the title of the thread. My question is if it's possible to say "do you" rather than "do they".

Oh!

It might not seem grammatical, but "Nobody remembers me, do they?" is the right choice. Maybe it's idiomatic. Someone else here can probably explain it well.

In talking to a group, you can also say "You don't remember me, do you?" because (as you know) you can be plural.

You could also say None of you remember me, do you?

If the opening is negative, use a positive tag. If the opening is positive, use a negative tag.

You don't (negative) remember me, do (positive) you?
You remember (positive) me, don't (negative) you?

That's how it works, if you're looking for clarification by using the tag question.

emsr2r2, the title of the thread has a mistake I couldn't correct (as I said in post #3). My question was about the use of you and they.
