Hi,
Could anyone please suggest an appropriate synonym for the adjective " off-line" in the sentence below?

Issues that require prolonged discussion need to be taken “off-line,” and resolved at a special meeting for that purpose or through some other
means.

Thnaks

Tabled - This is the "minutes of the meeting" word
Postponed/deferred - If you know that it will be a lenghyh discussion and it needs to be removed from the agenda
Suspended - If you are in the meeting, you might say "Let's suspend this discussion for now and make it the main topic for a separate meeting."
We also talk about issues that go in the "parking lot" - meaning you put it to the side and discuss it later.
I've also heard "Let's put a pin in this" to mean this, but I don't know where this expression came from or whether it's widely used. I don't use it.

In our business meetings we usually have a list of "parking lot" items. Things you need to consider, but not right now.

Of course, the American and British meanings of "table" are completely opposite. We "table" something to stop talking about it. They "table" it to begin.

I didn't know that!
