Examples:
I have come across this phrase offered him by but I don't understand how it is proper - If it at all. As I understood, shouldn't there be a "to" after the word "offered". Thanks!
1)Daniel expressed surprise over the warm reception offered him by the team and the scope of its operations
2)When this point was reached Judge Landis proposed that the salary offered him by the baseball magnates be reduced by the amount of his salary
3)Soaking up the knowledge offered him by the team's veterans is what he credits with keeping him in the game long enough
