[Grammar] Omission of conjunction "that"

1. It is true that he is honest.

2. It is Tom that I met

3. It is Jimmy that broke the window.


My grammar book says it is possible to omit 'that' in the above sentences, but I think

it's pretty awkward if we leave 'that' out in sentence 2 and 3.



What is the answer?

I would only omit "that" in #1.

Like bahaisahab, I would not omit 'that' in the second, but it's possible. It is not possible to omit it in the third.
