[Grammar] on the lottery

Is this sentence correct?



-If you won €1m on the lottery, what would you change in your life?

It´s correct except for the preposition on. ( "....in the lottery......")
 
I'd use in the lottery, but I think on is OK too- you win money on the horses, etc, in the UK at least.

I'd say "on the lottery".
 
In the US, you can win on the horses, at the racetrack, in the lottery, on the Yankees, etc.
 
Not a teacher only a native.

I would say 'I have won £1 million on the lottery.' I'm from the UK so maybe it is different in the US or other countries.
