There is a guy who does home chores "on" his working hours.

I know I should be using "during" here but I heard "on working hours" somewhere so I would like to know whether it is acceptable or not?

With "on" I'd expect "work time".

Why are you vacuuming on work time?
I saw him making personal phone calls on work time.

I'd use only "during" with working hours so I recommend you do the same.

By now, you should know that "I heard XXX somewhere" is useless as a source. If you heard it and noted it well enough to remember it now, you should be able to remember where you heard/read it and give us the relevant information.

It was an Indian show. Okay, so that person must have said "on work tim

We need to use "in" with working hours. Am I correct?

By "home chores" do you mean chores he does at home?

You might want to reread the answer to your question. (Post #2.) It seems that you didn't get it.
