Hello,

Is the following sentence grammatical? if it's not would you please correct it and tell me why it's not correct?

One should look over a document carefully before singing and he should get advice when needed.

Thank you in advance.

The sentence is good. "Singing" should be "signing".

Delete 'he'.

Yes It was an unintentionally typo. @Rover_KE says that "he" must be deleted in the original text but you have not mentioned anything about it and it seems that you have got no problem with using "he" in the original text. what's your opinion about it?

Delete 'he'.

Well, before asking this question here, a native English speaker had told me that "he" must be substituted with "you" but I couldn't understand why!

Would you please tell me why "he" must be deleted?

I can live with it either way. It is probably better without it.

It's the combination of "one" in the first half and "he" in the second half that sounds unnatural to me. If you're going to use "one", stick with it.

It‘s just an Am E versus Br E thing. In Am E you can use one or he for the 2nd subject. In Br E you must use one both times. In either, you can delete the 2nd subject.

So, in order to pass muster everywhere, delete it. :)

PS Replacing it with you is ugly wherever you come from.
