Hi,
I know that the white one is a wind breaker (windcheater) but what is the red one? What do you the red one? Do you call the red one a parka?

In BrE, I'd call the yellow one a waterproof jacket and the red one a padded jacket.

For me, these are classic parkas. In the 1960s, "mods" wore parkas which looked like this.

I would call the red one either a parka or just a heavy coat. It's hard to tell if the white one is a raincoat or a just a windbreaker.

I find the term 'windcheater' interesting - that's a new one for me. Living in a very windy climate, the notion that I can somehow "cheat" the wind seems somehow very satisfactory!

Don't you use "padded jacket" for the red one in the US?

I have a British friend in London. He told me that he would call the red one "a down insulated jacket".

What's your opinion about "a down insulated jacket"?

It depends if it actually has down in it or not. If it does, then that's as good a name as any of the other terms.

These are just all different names for essentially the same thing. Don't worry too much about picking the "best" marketing terminology.
