pass through/pass the corridor; turn round/turn the corner

He passed through/passed the corridor and turned round/turned the corner.


Whether the two prepositions are used doesn't make a difference in meaning, does it?
 
In passed through, the preposition is necessary. If you just say passed, it means he didn't walk down the corridor but walked past it.

Turned the corner sounds better than turned round the corner. ;)
