I want to describe a situation when someone really likes something. Can I use "itch" and "scratch"?

Are these okay?

1. Paul has an itch for super cars and this Volvo wouldn't scratch his itch! He would need a Corvette or a Mustang.

2. Lisa has an itch for photography and her phone certainly wouldn't scratch her itch. She would need a powerful camera.

Your examples are fine, although an itch for something isn't necessarily a powerful longing. It may be only a modest desire.

It's okay, I guess, but "passion" works better. Example: "Lisa has a passion for photography."

(My opinion.)
