We don't say "via through cheque". We say "by cheque".

I wouldn't say "Please check the attached image". I would say "Please see the attached image". To simplify it even more, you can say "Payment has been made by cheque (image attached)."

I agree- check sounds as if you're asking the person to look for something wrong with the image, at least in BrE.
