Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
Chancellor Merkel agreed with Peres about the risk posed by Iran.
The continuing increase in population numbers poses some awkward questions for the government.
This stand poses a threat to peace.
pose = to put forward; present
In her youth, she earned a reasonable living by posing for art studentss in the drawing class.
pose = to assume or hold a particular position or posture, as in sitting for a portrait
The thief got into the house by posing as a television repairman.
pose = to represent oneself falsely; pretend to be other than what one is
Let me pose a question.
pose = to set forth in words; propound
