Is it proper to say "your child's sick" and use an apostrophe to abbreviate "your child is sick".
It seemed like it was...but then the more I looked at it, the more I questioned it...and I couldn't find a reference anywhere (other than it was a standard contraction so it should be appropriate).
Would love an expert opinion.
