I'm listening to Ed Sheeran's new song Castle on the Hill and come across the phrase roaring fields as in the lyrics And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long. I've googled this phrase to have a look at what a roaring field looks like but I still have no idea. Please help.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

My advice is not to worry too much about song lyrics. They frequently mean nothing and, from a grammatical point of view, are often written in the way they are simply to fit the rhyme and rhythm of the song.

You got a similar answer here, GOCFTD.

We recommend posting a question on one forum only initially. If you do not get a satisfactory answer from that forum and you feel that you have exhausted its possibilities, then of course trying a different forum might help. It is only courteous however, to tell the second forum that you have already asked the question on another forum and then give a precis of the answers you received there, along with an explanation of why you are now looking elsewhere.
