Dear all,

What is the meaning of "roll on a river" in the following context:

{PICTURE TINA TURNER ROLLING ON A RIVER}

What I understand her is that she "rolls her body on the river shore or something like that"! Is there any other meaning? If yesm can you kindly provide me a picture of that?

Thanks a lot.

One of her most famous songs contains the repeated line "Rolling on the River" which is about paddleboats traveling on the Mississippi river. The caption plays on that knowledge.

So it's like "paddling the boat on the surface of the river"? Is that it?

Thanks.

No, just about cruising up and down the river. I meant paddle wheel boats, not a small human-powered paddle boat. My mistake. Like this:

The point was that the picture caption is a reference to the song.
