Have I used "roll on" correctly in these sentences? Which one is better here, roll on or roll out?

1. I looked out the plane window. Cottony clouds appeared to roll on forever.

2. A vast verdant hill rolled on all the way to a sandy beach.

3. The road cut through the desert, rolling on until it met silhouetted mountains at the horizon.

4. Sparkling waters rolled on to another world, meeting the sky at the horizon.

I should make it hills.

What about the rest of it?

Are the sentences okay?
