(1) He feels as if relieved of a heavy load.
(2) He feels a sense of relief.
(3) He is a weight off his mind.
 
Are the following sentences acceptable? Which is better?

(1) He feels as if he is [has been] relieved of a heavy load.
(2) He feels a sense of relief. Good
(3) He feels as though a weight has been lifted off his mind.
He felt a weight lifting off his mind.
He feels/felt released from a heavy burden.
