What would an example of a sentence with a verb group that contains a modal and is marked with past and perfect tense... very stuck... examples of each would be helpful xx

2006I'm not sure if you saw my post before you posted back. Is 'could' the modal, yes
does 'have' make it perfect tense "have invited" is present perfect tense.
and 'was' make it past tense? "was" is simple past tense.
