What does "shape (in)" mean in this context?

63 min: A cross into the United box from the right. Lefort shapes to meet it on the volley, but Diallo, behind him, does enough to put him off. Lefort wants a penalty, but he’s not getting one.

4 mins: Bright start this from Brentford, it must be said. Henry shapes in another inviting cross, Mbeumo gets in between Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell and - perhaps put off by their presence - heads it wide from inside the six-yard box.

Lefort adjusts his body position accordingly to meet it on the volley ...

I'm not completely sure about the second one as I've never heard such usage. What would you guess it means?

I think it means the same thing. Henry adjusts his body position to cross into the box. Am I right?

I don't think so. I imagine the meaning of shape relates to the shape of play rather than to his body position. I don't know.
