1 is OK but tedmc's suggestion is the more common word order.
2. That's correct.
3. It depends what you mean. If you've written a song and you have a particular singer in mind to sing it, your sentence works. In real life, you're more likely to name the person ("I want Taylor Swift to sing my song").
