Which one is corect?

She works in television as well as writing children's books.

She works in television as well as writes children's books.

The first is correct. The second isn't.
 
Can we swap the order in the following way?
As well as writing children’s books, she works in television.
 
I think now I can use as well as in sentences. When we have to-infinitive we only use infintive after as well as. Otherwise, we need to use verb+ing.

She likes to work in television as well as write children's books.

she likes working in tellevision as well as writing children's books.

As well as writing children’s books, she works in television.
