Hello,
Is it necessary to capitalize both words, 'Happy Holidays,' or is 'Happy holidays' acceptable? Also, should an exclamation point be included at the end? or not necessary for an email subject?

Hello.
Is it necessary to capitalize both words in 'Happy Holidays' no comma here or is 'Happy holidays' acceptable? Also, should an exclamation point be included at the end no question mark here or is it not necessary for an email subject line?
Even though "Happy Holidays" isn't really an official title (there's no such celebration), it would probably be capitalised as a subject line. I think that's because it's become an inclusive way of saying "Happy Christmas" (other religious celebrations are available) or similar. I've never used it myself. Some people would add an exclamation mark but it's not necessary.

Thank you. I'm just curious, should the word "holidays" be capitalized in the phrase "Best wishes for the holidays" as well? Does what you said apply to this phrase too? I mean the Christmas thing you mentioned.

I wouldn't capitalise it in a full sentence. As I said, it's not the official name of any celebration. I would capitalise it in "Happy Holidays!" because it's not a complete sentence - it's more like a caption. In the same way, you'll see "Happy Birthday!" on a lot of greetings cards or people's instant messages to each other. Even though "birthday" is a common noun, many of us capitalise it in that expression of good wishes. In a full sentence, it wouldn't be capitalised - "I hope you have a really happy birthday".

Hello, emsr2d2. Your sentence uses "would", If using "will", what's the difference?

Every time I use "would" in a response, you query it. Several people have tried to explain this in the past. If you don't understand it now, I don't know what else to add. If it helps, pretend I said "Don't capitalise it in a full sentence. Capitalise it in 'Happy Holidays!'"
