Let's say my brother tells me he will go shopping. And I tell him to send a money to a bank account. When he come home, I'm asking if he sent the money.

Should I say "Did you send the money to the bank account?" or "Have you sent the money to the bank account?"

Re: Simpe past/Present Perfect

Let's say my brother tells me he will go shopping no full stop here and I tell him to send [STRIKE]a[/STRIKE] money to a bank account. When he comes home, [STRIKE]I'm asking[/STRIKE] I want to find out if he sent the money.

Should I say "Did you send the money to the bank account?" or "Have you sent the money to the bank account?"

Please note my corrections above. I don't really understand the situation. If your brother is going shopping, why does he need to send money to someone's bank account? Whose bank account was he supposed to send it to?

It would be more natural to say "Did you transfer/Have you transferred the money?" Both tenses are possible.

Let's say my brother tells me he is going shopping. I tell him to send some money to a bank account. When he comes home, I ask him if he sent the money.

Should I say "Did you send the money to the bank account?" or "Have you sent the money to the bank account?"

The first thing that comes to mind is that your brother apparently does everything you tell him to do. Either that or that brother doesn't exist.

(Either sentence will do.)

send a money
As Tarheel has pointed out, that is wrong.

I struck through "a" in my initial response but perhaps it wasn't clear. Sometimes the line isn't visible on a one-letter word.
