This does not makes sense, I am sitting at peter left side, why is it that i am two seats away to peter's right?

I should say to Peter "Hi Peter, I am sitting two seats to your left". Is that correct?
I was assuming that in ABCDE, the letters were facing outwards from the screen. If they are facing inwards, into the screen, you'd have to change the direction. You can work out which way you were sitting and use the phrases you've been given, inserting 'left' or 'right' as they apply.
