I wrote the following sentence. Are the usages of (for which ) and (approximately) correct?

Some countries applied a three-term system for public education and higher education for which students studying approximately a total of ten months.

Note my corrections above. We don't mark out words with brackets. Use quotation marks (as I did above) or italics.

No, "for which" doesn't work there. "Approximately" is OK. However, the entire underlined part makes no sense. I think you might mean something like "Some countries used/introduced a three-term system in public and higher education, in which students study for approximately ten months".
