Hello!
Which preposition(s) can be used with the noun "square"? I've come across at/in/on the square, but I am not sure if they are all correct and if there's any difference in their usage.
ex.The statue is located in Republic square in the town.

I would use "in" in your example.

I would capitalise "Square" in "in Republic Square". It sounds like it's the official name of the square so it's a proper noun.

I would use "in" in your example.

Thank you for the answers.
Could you tell me some examples in which "at" or "on"would be more appropriate? Which one would you prefer in these sentences?

The concert will be held __ the main square.
I met him __ Republic Square.
There are some bookstalls __ Federation Square.

The concert will be held in the main square.
I met him __ Republic Square. Both would be OK here.
There are some bookstalls in Federation Square.

Thank you for your reply.:) I am not sure if you refer to "in" and "on" when you say that both would be okay, since I mentioned three prepositions. Can you tell me one example with "at" if you can think of any?

Sorry, I meant "in" and "at".
