Hello teachers.

I read this sentence in Cambridge.org.

The governor was impeached for wrongful use of state money. (source: impeach)

I wonder if you can tell me if I can say "the state money" and why.
 
No, because there's no reason to.
 
He's accused of misusing some of it—not all of it.
 
all of it.
That would be one possible interpretation if "the" was used.
Other justifications for "the" would include if you'd already mentioned that money or if you wanted to distinguish it from another amount of money.
