Hi,

I take tea every day OR I drink tea every day? Can we use both take/drink or only take with tea? Explain.

Thanks in advance

Yes, you can, but "to take tea" is quite formal and old-fashioned in most dialects of English.

I feel that, as is the case with medicines, green tea could actually be considered as one of such. So, saying that one takes green tea every day might as well imply that one takes it for treatment. But that's just my idea of the verb take in a context like this.

In AmE we generally have tea.
