I am blur about the uses of ' tap into' and 'waiting to be tapped'.

Can someone please enlighten me on the uses of these two phrases? What do they actually mean?

I made three sentences using the two phrases. Did I use them correctly?

a) tap into(does it mean make use of?)

* He tapped into his own experience to solve the classroom problem.

b) waiting to be tapped(does it mean waiting to be , 'developed', 'nurtured' or 'exploited'?)

* There are so many great ideas waiting to be tapped in our organization.

* The gold mine is waiting to be tapped.

The a) example is fine.
The b) first example is fine but in the second example I don't think I would use "tapped" in that way but you could. I would rather say that "the mine is ready to be excavated".

He tapped into his own experience to solve the classroom problem

You usually say you tap into somewhere else's experience, not your own.
