In western countries temperature goes several degrees below zero.

Is it correct to say "temperature goes several degrees below zero"?

You want to say "temperatures" or "the temperature."

The statement is overly broad. In some western countries, it goes well below zero Celsius. Not just "several degrees."

(Zero Fahrenheit is another story. That's really cold and not unusual in many northern countries.)

It's rather unnatural.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. It certainly gets cold in Asian countries too.

In western countries, the temperature goes can fall to several degrees below zero.
Note my changes above. As Tarheel said, though, this weather phenomenon is definitely not restricted to western countries.
