What are the correct meanings of this sentence?

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Please note my corrections above. It's important to start every sentence with a capital letter and end every sentence with one appropriate full stop. Please make sure you put the words/phrases/sentences you are asking us about in the main text, not just in the title.

Before we continue, please tell us what makes you think the sentence has more than one meaning. Where did you find the sentence?

It may mean that they are cooked. We don't generally think of fish as ripening like fruit, though people who fish may think that they are ready when they have grown enough to catch.
