I am writing a poem about peace. There is one line that fits perfectly into my poem as far as the line length is concerned, but I am not sure if it sounds natural to a native ear: "The four-year-longed-for day of peace". Is it both grammatical and natural?

That appears to be part of a longer sentence. Your question would be easier to answer if you could give us the full sentence.

The whole sentence is as follows:

"The soldier, who has made war cease,
Can’t yet believe the day is here —
The four-year-longed-for day of peace."

It is grammatical and, in that poetic context, natural.
