A: Your explanation is very abstruse. I feel like the cat in the Blah-blah-blah Whiskas commercial. Have you seen it?
B: No, I have no idea what you're talking about.
A: It was on all channels a couple of years ago. A girl comes home, opens the door, and sees her cat waiting for her. She starts talking to the cat; she says, "Oh, my kitty, you've been waiting for me. I missed you too. Let me get you your favorite Whiskas." And then the creators change the perspective and throw in the voice-over of what the cat's just heard, "Blah-blah-blah, Whiskas."

Are the tenses in the part in bold correct?

Yes, good. You need the present simple in all verb phrases.
