Trevor Noah on his show is discussing the recent situation regarding librarians having to hide their identities while being interviewed, compares them to an insider giving away a drug dealer:
"You seeing this? Like, this is the interview an insider gives when they're ratting out El Chapo."

Hello everyone. Could an indefinite article be used with "interview" in the above sentence as well?

Probably. However, if they say the same thing every time it's the interview.

No they don't, it was just a short in-passing joke.

At first, just by reading the text, I wanted to say yes. However, after watching the clip, I'm leaning towards only using the definite article in this particular context. ''The interview'' in this context seems to be an abbreviation of ''this type of interview''. If you were to use an indefinite article here, the impact of what he's saying would be diminished, if that makes any sense.

I don't think the indefinite article would work there. I see it as a way of saying "the kind of interview".

Or, and possibly better, the kind of interview.
