Hi,

The following sentence is from my old notebook but native speakers said it's natural.

What does it mean?

The little things we do add up.

Does it mean "The little things we do are legal?"
 
No.

The little things we do eventually add up to bigger things.
 
If somebody is nice to you every time they see you it has a cumulative effect. The reverse is true also.
 
Little things matter/count.
