how do we use the phrase, the more?

Example:

"The more I believe in this dream, the more would I want to do everything to reach it"

i found it in a site. is that correct?

how about the phrase, the longer?

It would work better for me without would in the second part to create a balance. You can use any relevant comparatives:
The longer the journey, the more I yearn for home.
