Hi,

- Don't worry, son! The program is starting in two minutes.

I tried to create such a setence. I would like to ask if I must use 'start' or 'starting'.

- Don't worry, son! The program starts in two minutes.

Thank you.

Both are fine.

You could also say "The program will be starting in two minutes", "The program will start in two minutes" or "The program is going to start in two minutes".

If it's on TV, in BE we'd spell it 'programme'.
