Hello friends,
Suppose that there is a sentence which doesn't make a good sense to me.
I'm really confused. I don't know how to say that. Would you please be kind enough to comment on my above self
made examples?

Many thanks

Re: seems/look/appear

Dear teachers.

1. The sentence seems odd to me.
2. The sentence looks odd to me.
3. The sentence appears odd to me.

I am okay with number 2. I mean I am familiar with it. But about others, I am confused. They might be correct but I want to clear my confusion. Shouldn't we use "to be" after words seem and appear?

Please help me to clarify the use of seem and appear.

Thanks.
They're OK. You can insert 'to be' there if you want to, but it's not necessary.

Kite, I've deleted all three of your posts in this thread on your behalf. I know it's difficult to work the site on a mobile.
