Is my sentence correct and does it express the idea clearly? I mean to say that there are a lot of street lamps and it's not dark at night.

"There is a lot of light at night."

Yes, but to express the idea clearly it should include the information about street lights.

It would work in the appropriate context, e.g. "I always feel safe in this neighborhood".
