Yes, the grammar seems to be just fine. But I can't help wondering what a town with dark lines is.

The context is the following:

Tim received the red folder and looked at a color print-out of the painting “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. After a few seconds of staring it, he spoke to his classmates.

*Tim is a young student, aged 14 years old.

I still don't know what dark lines are, nor do I see how they can reflect anything. And how can a city at night be illuminated by a light blue sky?

(Tim left out a word. Do you know what it is?)

I would say that a painting if of something, not about something.
In "Starry, Starry Night", I'd assume the stars have something to do with the light, given their size. A light blue sky cannot illuminate anything. Whatever is illuminating the night sky is also illuminating the town.

I was thinking of "though" but "if" works there too.
