1) Her wedding is three months out.
2) Her wedding was three months out.

Are these sentences correct and if they are, what does 'out' mean in them?

We wouldn't use them in BrE but as far as I'm aware in AmE they mean "Her wedding is/was three months away". On the day of writing, the wedding was three months in the future.
