Hello,

A colleague of mine says we can use " to advance" in the following context:

"Please, advance the delivery date", meaning "please, move the delivery date to an earlier date".

Is that right?

Thanks a lot for your help

Will

It would be understandable but, in BrE, you're more likely to hear "Please bring the delivery date forward".

If I had someone write to me and say "advance" the date, I might think they were just asking me to tell them what the delivery date is.
